It's the most stressful time of the year

I know we JUST got back from break but I can't help but think about winter break. It's course paper/group project/finals season. It would have been nice to just relax and catch up on all my favorite shows I've been missing out on but I had to be somewhat productive (if you count completing a few assignments/readings and sending emails).

But here I am first day back from break and I'm freaking out. There is not enough time. There is no such thing as dead week. I'm into my junior year and I still don't know what dead week is (I wonder if I ever will?) I have like three things due that week in addition to readings and extra credit opportunities.

I've been taking time off from work to study and do my course work but then realized that I was going broke. I've committed to going to Vegas during winter break and I'm going to need money for that. I'm really in over my head

.

To keep my cool I've been taking the time to sit down and think of what needs to be done. I whip out the good old' planner and I prioritize items/assignments. I've also been trying to get ahead with a few things when I have the spare time so I can stuff done when it's crunch time. Right now I'm just hoping I make it through.

Songza Playlists I've been study to: Jazz Christmas, Orchestral Jazz for Reading, Cocktails & Clave: Latin Jazz Christmas, Music for a Small, Classical for Studying, Blissed-Out Beats, Classical Medications, Downtempo Instrumentals, Indie Yoga.

I hope you all don't go crazy. I really wish this could happen every night until finals end. Can we make this a thing please? I'd really love it if we did.

When and if you do feel like you're going crazy just drop everything, breathe, console yourself that everything will be alright, get up and dance, sing loudly, scream like they did, exercise, get your favorite drink from Starbucks, write how you're feeling/what needs to be accomplished down, call your parents or a friend, eat your favorite meal, or do anything that won't hurt yourself or someone else. Keep an eye out for dead week events, there will be free dinners, snacks, massages and different activities around campus.

Songs I listen to when I need a study break: Boneless by Steve Aoki, Chris Lake & Tujamo, Bubble Butt by Major Lazer feat. Bruno Mars and Tyga, Twerk It by Busta Rhymes feat. Nicki Minaj, Dark Horse by Katy Perry feat. Juicy J, The Bay (Erol Alkan Extended Rework) by Metronomy, Higher Ground by TNGHT, Heads Will Roll (A-Trak Remix) by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cheap & Cheerful (SebastiAn Remix) by The Kills, Day N Nite (Crookers Remix) by Kid Cudi, Maybe (SA-RA Remix) by N.E.R.D., Settle Down (Baauer Remix) by No Doubt, 212 by Azealia Banks feat. Lazy Jay, Bad Girls by M.I.A., Infinity Guitars and Kids by Sleigh Bells, Stupidfacedd and Okay by Wallpaper, Jump (Club Cheval Remix) by Rihanna feat. Theophilus London.

Parents: don't freak out if you haven't heard from your child in days, it'll all be over soon. If you love them love them and want to help them out you should definitely send them things. This is an extremely stressful time of the year and we'd do almost anything for it to be over. I'm now accepting donations (or Starbucks/Chipotle gift cards) to the tired and crazed college student fund :)

Have a happy dead week.
