Scheduling classes the first few times can be overwhelming. There are so many classes to chose from! And how do you know which teacher is the best? Here are a few resources I use when I am trying to decide which classes to take.
The Grade Distribution DatabaseThis website is really interesting! You have the ability to see the previous grades from past semesters. You can also search by instructor.
Rate My ProfessorsWith this website you are able to read reviews of teachers from students that have had classes with them. You should take this reviews with a grain of salt, because many times people just complain, but it is sometimes helpful to know what to expect!
These websites are useful in selecting classes, but just because it seems like a teacher gives low grades or only has bad reviews doesn't mean you wouldn't benefit from taking that class. I have taken some chances with teachers and it hasn't ever turned into a situation I regret! College is about trying new things and taking chances, so if you don't get along with your teacher, you will only have to deal with them for about four months!
