Parker Mantell was the chosen student speaker at commencement this year. He talks about the confidence he gained while being a student at Indiana University.
"Stop believing in those who cast doubt upon you and start believing in yourself. Shift your thinking, such that when opportunities come before you, you don't ask why me, but you ask, why not me? Take a step forward, dare to do what others have doubted that you can... Take that step forward because, as IU has taught us, it is possible."
I could not agree more with what Parker Mantell has to say. I do wholeheartedly believe that Indiana University will supply you with the tools and confidence needed to flourish in the real world. Whether it is your connections with professors, your sorority sisters, or your connections outside of the classroom, if you want to find confidence at IU, it is here waiting for you.
