Indian Food Festivities

A friend down the hall from me is Indian. One day I asked her about the different types of Indian food. She told me that though delicious, it was not for the faint of heart. Most food contain a variety of unique spices which I had never heard of before. Suddenly, I asked her if I could go with her to her favorite Indian restaurant in town, Amol's. She quickly jumped at the chance to show someone else her culture and that night I was on my way to trying my first Indian cuisine. Once there, she ordered for us and the food arrived shortly. While waiting for the food, I sipped on delicious mango lassi which is like a mango yogurt smoothie I willingly learned. The flavor explosion in my mouth was amazing! The mouth watering butter chicken dish was my ultimate favorite. But don't be fooled by the name, there is definitely more than butter in that chicken. That dish contained so many spiced, I loved every bite! I am so happy that I am able to try new foods here that I do not have at home. In addition, I also love how my friends can experience it too! Thanks IU!
