Well Hoosier Nation, how does it feel to be back after the break? Good I hope. I wanted to take the time to write about one of my favorite parts about our Old IU... what’s that you may ask? The sports? The Arts? The classes? Nope! My favorite part of IU is the fact we embrace diversity and strive to instill that value in the university community as a whole. You maybe scratching your head as to the title of this post, why isn’t it embracing the Diversity? Well a great example for me on what IU is trying to do is the smash musical Wicked! The untold story of the witches of Oz speaks volumes to the reality and affect that embracing diversity can have on people or the community at large.
So are you still confused....well take a look at this photo below!

So does this clarify things a bit better? The show is the story of an unusual friendship that blossoms to change them “For Good.” Indiana University has many different opportunities for you to explore things that maybe outside of your comfort zone. Places like La Casa or the GLBT Student Support. As well as events like the upcoming Unity Summit on MLK Day. Even offices! The Division of Equity and Multicultural Affairs or DEMA for short For this fact I am so proud to be a member of the Hoosier Nation. So get out there! Experience the diversity for yourself and embrace the green! It will change you for good........
