(Editor's Note: The first annual IU Day is next Tuesday, April 12. IU Day is "an online, worldwide celebration of Indiana University.")
1. Win a free parking pass by solving the IU Day scavenger hunt clues!
That’s right on April 12, you’ll have the chance to win a student parking pass (and don’t worry for us seniors, there’s an awesome $375 gift card). All you have to do is complete a campus-wide scavenger hunt and the prize could be yours. Don’t have time to run through a scavenger hunt? No problem. You can also earn prizes by taking a selfie and sharing #IUday or by giving donations to IU. Basically, it’s a win-win situation!
2. It’s a 24-hour binge-watching extravaganza!
If that didn’t sell you, then maybe this will! There’s never been a better excuse to kick-back and enjoy a full day of entertaining videos. What’s the likelihood of a zombie apocalypse? Find out on IU Day. But the extravaganza doesn’t stop there! You’ll also find fun activities such as an IU-themed trivia game, personality quiz and crossword puzzle. All this plus more on the big day at iuday.iu.edu!
3. Show your support IU style!
We all have that one favorite piece of IU apparel. For my dad, it’s the red and white pinstriped pants he wears every IU basketball game. Whatever that piece may be for you, it’s time pull it out and rock it! IU Day is your chance to show your school spirit. You can even purchase your very own customized IU Day gear to show support. After all, there’s no better way to celebrate IU Day than in style.
4. Connect with people around the world!
This is your chance to connect with people from all around the world on IU Day. This includes famous IU alumni who will be joining in on the fun such as Orlando Magic player Victor Oladipo, ESPN anchor Sage Steele and the star of ABC’s hit reality series “The Bachelor,” Ben Higgins. Not to forget, IU alumnus Jonathan Banks who will be answering twitter-submitted questions about his career and time at IU. Be sure to use #IUday and you may even find yourself featured on IU Day social pages.
5. You’ll be a part of IU history!
Did I mention this will be the first-ever IU Day? By participating in this worldwide celebration of fun you will be a part of a monumental moment in IU history. So get ready to join the fun on #IUday.
